Mediterranean Revival

This home is currently under construction

Conceived as an homage to its 1926 predecessor, this residence was designed to capture the intimacy and character of the original home. The scale is intimate, the proportions measured to foster a sense of privacy, yet the home unfolds in a way that feels organic and full of light.

Architectural features reinforce this dialogue between past and present. The roof is clad in reclaimed clay tile, weathered to recall centuries of Mediterranean dwellings. Stucco and limestone elements give the walls a tactile permanence, while shuttered openings and arched thresholds temper the sunlight, casting a gentle rhythm of shadow across the interiors. Stone colonnades and iron accents add refinement, balancing solidity with the classical forms long associated with Southern California.

The landscape extends the home’s intimate character: olive trees, lavender, and climbing vines create a softened edge between house and garden, shaping the atmosphere of a private retreat.

This Pacific Palisades residence stands as a study in custom home design rooted in Southern California’s Spanish Revival traditions. It marks a new chapter for the family, and more than a reconstruction, it is an exploration of how craftsmanship, timeless materials, and careful scale can yield a home that feels at once private and embracing—an enduring sanctuary of belonging.
